Corten Studio - Merge

Merge Modular redefines landscape furnishing by offering a configurable ecosystem of planters, seating, and edging that combines architectural elegance with installation simplicity. Process

We developed the functional modular schematic - component elements such as straight sections, curves, corners, end caps, seating and storage benches - are all based on shared fixings, and discrete geometry to support site-specific layouts with minimal complexity and maximum design freedom.

We engineered the connections, multi-profile edge profiles (straight, top fold, taper fold), drainage strategy and integrated seating, while meeting structural and environmental demands.

We translated the architectural vision into high-volume production: we created detailed DfM specifications and assembly guides. Prototypes were iterated through fabrication trials to validate weld quality, seat stability and alignment as well as testing lighting.

We specified aluminium (85% recycled content), weathering steel (Corten), powder-coated finishes in 300+ RAL colours, timber and composite boards, and integrated lighting and storage features.
