Ocean Bottle tumbler
We partnered with Ocean Bottle to create a range of reusable travel mugs that are produced a way that creates minimal impact on the environment - all components recycled (totalling minimum 67% recycled material), disassemblable with a closed loop return system (with free replacement parts for 10 years). Plastic is moulded from ocean bound sources and each mug bought funds the collection of a further 11.368 kg of ocean-bound plastic.
Meanwhile, the insulated container keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot with a secure lid, perfect for enjoying beverages both at home and on the go. The lid can be removed for easy sipping or used as a regular mug, and the handle makes it convenient to attach to bags or strollers to save space. The mugs are created from 90% recycled stainless steel and the lid is made from recycled polymer.

Process
Our role as product design consultants was to lead the full industrial design and engineering process, from early concept development through to manufacturer-ready handoff. The result is a sleek, dishwasher-safe, fully recyclable insulated cup designed for daily coffee runs to adventures further afield.
Our user-centred approach included mapping everyday use cases and environmental criteria. We then explored form studies and evaluated closure designs. Several physical and digital prototypes informed design refinement and thermal performance testing.
We worked closely with Ocean Bottle’s team to ensure materials met their environmental, sustainability benchmarks.
