The Splash Lab - Ribbon collection
The result of a three year long project with British washroom manufacturer The Splash Lab; the Ribbon Collection combines British craftsmanship (being made entirely in the South of England) with careful design.
Ribbon challenges the fundamental principles of washrooms by locating the dryer in the basin rather than on the wall; keeping the floors free from water and mess. Careful attention was also given to technical aspects such as noise levels of the dryers and easy maintenance.
The Ribbon Collection delivers sleek, touch-free washroom fixtures - made up of a tap, soap dispenser and hand dryer. Designed for hospitality, airports, and corporate spaces, the suite ensures users never need to leave the sink to wash and dry.

Process
We helped define a visually cohesive design and functional language, ensuring the tap, soap dispenser, and dryer look and operate as a seamless system.
We optimised deck-mount geometry to integrate sensor alignment, hand positioning, and flow path - supporting a natural user journey with minimal hand travel from soap to water to air.
We collaborated on mechanical packaging for sensor electronics, water-solenoid systems, and HEPA-filtered dryer airflow, ensuring it all fitted into a seamless housing.
